Hi loves, I'm happy to share my thoughts on the NYX Cosmetics Sabrina Collection. I'm huge fan of the Netflix show Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and when I saw NYX made a collab with the show, I knew I needed it in my life. I watched all the new episodes in 2 days. I can't wait when more episodes comes out.
The collection contains a palette and 3 lip kits. I did pick up one of the lip kits and the also the palette.
Let's start with the lip duo I picked up, which contains 2 of their Soft Matte Lip Creams in shade Cabo and Monte Carlo (8ml). I love I'm able to see the shades I have and these have special design on the caps, because of the collab, cat head and heart in fire in red on black background. And these come with a classic doe foot applicator.
These are liquid lipsticks with more forgiving formula and these don't dry completely down. Like the name says the formula of these is creamy, but whipped. These do want to move around and doesn't last on lips as long as traditional liquid lipstick would.
- Monte Carlo - is beautiful classic red. I would use lip liner under it, because the formula of it is more creamy.
- Cabo - is a beautiful peachy nude. It's perfect shade for the spring summer.
Let's move to the Sabrina Spellbook Makeup Palette and it comes in a beautiful cardboard packaging. It closes magnetically and inside there is 2 blushers, a highlighter and 30 eyeshadows (some are pigments). Not all of the products are eye safe. I can't use the highlighter or the blushers on the eyes. There is also 3 pressed pigments, which are not eye safe.
I have used all the eyeshadow son my eye balls, even the ones that are not eye safe. I haven't had any irritation and I do like the looks I have gotten. I find the mattes blend out beautifully and the metallic shades are gorgeous and so pigmented. I also love they have more iridescent shades which have glitter in it. I love the different textures they offer in this palette.
I love the fact that this palette contains everything I need for cool tone, warm tone and colorful eye looks. It even has greens, which we all know I'm obsessed with.
I have to say I'm not loving the highlighter and the reason for it it is, that it's too dark form me. It would me perfect for anyone who has medium skin tone. The blushers look so beautiful and I like one is warm tone and the other more cool tone.
You can see all three products swatched on the left. These are pigmented and blend into the skin easily (I tried only the blushers). Also these lasted on me all day (the blushers) with out fading or getting patchy. I'm really impressed with quality.
- Caliban - is a beautiful warm tone highlighter. I would use it as an eyeshadow or I'll try to use it when I have more tan going on.
- Nick Scratch - is a cool tone pink with beautiful sheen to it. I love a this type of glowy blusher.
- Harvey - is a matte peachy coral blusher. It's so beautiful and I see myself wearing it a lot on summer.
Let's take a closer look of the shadows. You can see all 30 eyeshadows/pressed pigments swatched down below.
- Cunning - is a sheer silvery white, which is packed with glitter.
- Angel of Death - is a matte white. It feels so buttery and silky to the touch.
- Class in Session - is a super metallic white with pale golden sheen to it. It's so beautiful eye color.
- Truth Cake - is a matte cream shade and is perfect shadow to highlight the brow bone.
- Mortuary - is a matte orchid shade. I really love using it when I go for more purple eye look.
- Eternal Bliss - is a metallic light purple pink shade. It looks gorgeous all over the lid.
- Blood Earth - is a matte burned orange. I love this type of shades and it go well with the peachy coral blusher.
- Before Dawn - is a matte light peachy coral shade. It's the perfect transition shade.
- Sweet 16 - is a matte orange coral. Another my kind of shade.
- Batibat - is a matte pink and is pressed pigment and is not eye safe. I have used it on eyes and my eyes where fine.
- Unholy Union - is a matte dark purple and is also pressed pigment.
- Ambrose - is a metallic darker pale lilac shade with tons of glitter in it.
- Werewolf - is a classic light bronze shade. It looks really pretty all over the lid.
- Malum Malus - is a matte cool tone gray brown. Perfect transition shade for cool tone eye looks.
- Acrimony - is a shimmery golden green shade. I find it one of the more unique shades in this palette.
- Exorcism - is a beautiful metallic bronzer.
- Hell on Earth - is a matte hot pink pressed pigment and is not recommended to use around the eye.
- Harrowing - is a matte cool tone brown. It's another good transition shade.
- Mortal's Delight - is a shimmery fuchsia purple shade. It's a great shade to make a more smoky eye look.
- Spellman - is a shimmery blue purple eyeshadow and perfect for that smoky eye look.
- Frog Legs - is a shimmery grassy green shade. I do like the palette also has some beautiful greens.
- Limbo - is a matte cool tone gray shade. Another great transition shade.
- Midwinter - is a shimmery dark blue.
- Dark Carnival - is a shimmery duo chrome. It's with green brown shade.
- Dark Baptism - is a matte brown reddish shade.
- Devil's Work - is a metallic orange and I love, love, love it. It's so beautiful and I don't think I have anything like this in my collection.
- Hell-Raiser - is a metallic bronzy red shade and I love to pair it with Devil's Work.
- Dark Prince - is a shimmery dark brown.
- Dark Princess - is a metallic lighter bronze shade, a classic.
- Salem - is a matte black.
I feel this palette has something for everyone and with a good eye primer (which I always use with all eye looks), these eyeshadows last on me all day without creasing or fading. I'm not comparing this with what I already have in my collection. I look it on its own and this gives me everything I want from a palette. It has beautiful selection of warm tone shades and also cool tone. I love the palette also contains few fun and unique colors.
If you want to check the palette out for yourself you can find it here. I think it's great palette to have, if you don't own too many eyeshadow palette and want one palette to do it all for you. I also like how sleek it is and makes a great option for travel.
I hope you guys have enjoyed this review and down below you can see a simple smoky eye tutorial. Enjoy!
