Hi loves! Today's post is on Juvia's Place The Magic Palette ($28.00).
The packaging of this palette is gorgeous! I love the art on the cover. The palette contains 16 eye shadows: 6 matte and 10 shimmery/metallic shadows. There is no mirror inside and the packaging is cardboard and closes magnetically.
The shadows in the palette are super pigmented and I love that it contains cool and warm tone shades. Its perfect for both day time and evening looks. These do blend out easily, but I had hard time with the darker shades. I felt they blended everywhere and I had hard time keeping it all in one place. I also got fall out with these, so I would recommend doing your eyes first and then the face makeup.
The staying power of these shadows is amazing! I didn't experience any creasing or fading through out the day, but I always use a primer under every eye look.
- Nubia - is gorgeous metallic gold.
- Zakiya - is a matte burned orange. It looks darker in the pan then on the swatch.
- Osun - is gorgeous metallic light pink. Looks stunning as inner corner highlight.
- Kesi - is a matte creamy nude shade, which is bit darker then my own skin tone. Its great to use as brow bone highlighter for deeper skin tones.
- Zuba - is darker metallic pink.
- Nana - is a matte orange brown shade. In the pan it looks more brown and when I use it on myself its more orange brown.
- Boronu - is a metallic bronze shade.
- Kogi - looks in the pan like red, but swatched its more neon red and it has matte finish.
- Faso - is a metallic purple with blue sheen to it. Its my favorite shadow out of this palette.
- Aja - is a shimmery deep, deep forest green.
- Vai - is a metallic gray.
- Yemoja - is a metallic silver.
- Ife - is a matte deep purple.
- Yara - is a metallic sea green.
- Buzo - is a metallic bright green.
- Yejide - is a matte blue, which looks in the pan darker then on the swatch.
I do like this palette and I love how many different looks I can great with it. There are some things I don't like about this palette. First is that it contains talc and second that some shades don't come off as they look in the pan. I have played weeks with it and I have learned to live with it. I don love the looks I can create with it and the shades still are intense and beautiful. Down below you can see the look I created using this palette.
