Hi loves! I usually post a video on Friday's, but I'm traveling today, so I'll post it on Saturday. But today I review NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette (20g, £16.00).
This highlighter palette comes in a plastic compact, which closes securely and has a clear lid. The palette is sleek enough to make into to my travel bag and I like all the choices I get. This beauty contains 7 highlighting powders. Top row contains 4 smaller pans and the the second row contains 3 bigger pans of highlighters.
All shades give a beautiful glow and the bottom row is my favorite, because the formula of the highlighters feels more buttery and also the shades are more wearable. The top row contains more extreme shade for me like the lilac or the yellow, the other 2 are wearable. Like I mentioned I feel the highlighters on the top row are more stiff and not as good formula as the bottom row.
On the pictures above you can see everything swatched. I feel the swatches don't do justice to these highlighter. In person these look much better. I can get this liquid metal feel with these, but more wearable. My favorite shade out of all of these is swatch on the picture on the right and its the first swatch (from the left). Its such stunning shade and I like it more then my Becca highlighter in Opal. That says a lot in my opinion.
As much as I have worn it my highlighter is always on point all day. Even when I have to powder my face through out the day my highlighter still looks perfect.
I recommend this palette for someone who wants to test out more then one highlighter. I feel now I have found my shade and I have had bit of highlighter fever the past 3 weeks and I feel I still have it. I just want to buy highlighters and I have few more to test, which are all natural, so they'll be reviewed on my other blog (link). If you are interested in this palette I'll link it here.
Which is your all time favorite highlighting powder?
Thank you for reading! xo's
Love all the colours this highlighter comes with!

Effortlessly Sophisticated
I'm obsessed with it x
DeleteThis palette didn't work for me at all and I ended up giving it away. The texture highlighted all my fine lines and skin texture so it was a pass for me. :-(
