Hi loves! I was trying out Beauty Bakerie Neapolitan Eyescream Palette (2.8gx12, €34.95) and its completely new brand to me. I didn't know what to try from them, so I went with their eyeshadow palette.
It comes in cardboard packaging and closes magnetically. I love the ice cream theme of the packaging and all the shadow names. The palette contains 12 eyeshadows (6 shimmer and 6 matte eyeshadows) and a nice size mirror.
The matte shadows are not very good in this palette and swatch horrifically. The pigmentation is poor in the matte shadows, but the shimmers are gorgeous and richly pigmented. I didn't experience any fall out with these and also there was no creasing (I always use eyeshadow primer). I do have to say the matte shadows apply with brush better then when I swatch with finger.
- Chocolate chip - is shimmery white with sparkle in it. I love using it as inner corner highlighter.
- I Scream - is shimmery light beige and is perfect to apply all over the lid.
- Powdered Sugar - is shimmery bronze shade.
- Vanilla Bean - is shimmery dusty rosy shade. I adore it <3
- Wafer - is the most buttery shadow in the palette. Its greenish brown shade with shimmer.
- Pistachio - is more orange bronze shade with shimmer to it.
- Drive-thur - is a matte brown shade and you can see its not as smooth as the shimmery shades.
- Sliced Almond - is matte purple, which doesn't look on the swatch at all like purple.
- Strawberry - is a matte orange and doesn't apply evenly at all.
- Cocoa Powder - is gorgeous shimmery mauve shade. Its one of the most used shades from the palette. I love the color of it <3
- U Scream - is a matte dark brown and again its patchy.
- Sunday Funday - is a mid tone matte brown.
I have mixed feelings about this palette. I wish the quality of the matte shadows would be better, because the shimmers are beautiful! I did manage to make it work, but I feel like the mattes are not true to the color, specially the purple.
Have you tried anything from the brand before?
These are such nice colors! Too bad to hear that the quality isn't amazing. Thanks for sharing your honest opinions!

Your welcome, I'm glad it worked for you so well x
DeleteI've never tried anything from this brand. It's sad the mattes didn't work for you. The shades are beautiful though.

They really are x
DeleteWhat a disappointment! I have heard mixed things about this brand. Althought the shimmers are pretty. If the mattes are that awful..its really not worth it.
ReplyDeleteIt was so disappointing x
DeleteI totally dont know this pallet, but it looks even nice. I'm not sure if I will buy this palette, but it's nice to know about it :)
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about the matte shadows. I've heard some similar reviews about this palette. http://www.mrsqbeauty.com
ReplyDeleteI was hoping more x
DeleteI have that palette! You can see my review here. I used Smashbox primer on my hand for my swatches (since I use it on my face). Their lip whips are tricky! I only liked their metallics. But they say to use NOTHING on your lips before applying ANY of them.

Your swatches look so much better, but I think it should work with out primer so well. I do have shadows like that, so I'm still hard on the brand x
