Hi loves! I have been highlight crazy and I have lost my fare looking oily (because of my oily skin type). I have let it go and just enjoy the glow :D Today's post is on Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette Precious Metals (9g, €12.49).
The highlighting palette has a gorgeous gunmetal packaging, which gives it highend feel. Inside there are 3 cream highlighters, powder highlight and a nice size mirror. It also comes with a little brush, which I haven't used and will toss. I like to use my own brushes and most times with creams I use my finger tips to blend it out.
It can be used on face and body. All 4 highlighters are pigmented and easy to use. I have favorites out of the palette, which I have used more then others. I'll share it down below, when going into different shades. These highlighters provide gorgeous glow and it lasts all day without fading. I love the long lasting formula.
- Platinum (cream) - is cool tone cream highlighter, with tons of shimmer to it. Its not my favorite out of all of them. It bit too shimmery and metallic for me.
- Royal Gold (cream) - is gorgeous in the pan and at first glance it looks also gorgeous on skin, but when blended out things get way too glittery. Its my least favorite highlighter out of the four.
- Renaissance Gold (cream)- is perfect highlighter! It can seem too intense at first, but when its blended it looks awesome. Under the powder it looks not as good, so I do use it on top and it blends out well and doesn't look patchy.
- Antique Bronze (powder) - is a beautiful powder. It would fit a darker skin tone better then my pale one.
I overall like the palette, even though there is only one highlighter I really like and use, with others there is some misses. I find the 2 other cream highlighters to be too shimmery and glittery for my taste and the powder is bit dark. I can use the powder on top of my blush, which I have done sometimes.
If you wanna check it out for yourself, you can do so here.
Have you tried any of Sleek Makeup highlighters?

I have never tried Sleek Makeup before! We just got the brand here at ULTA. I was interested in their Cleopatra highlighter palette. These shades are pretty. Sorry the others were too shimmery (I hate that). I'll swatch it in store since they're here now.

DeleteCream products aren't my thing but I'm glad you were able to find use of it. Even though you weren't 100% happy.
ReplyDeleteI usually do like cream products, but too much shimmer is not something I can work with x

DeleteI don´t really use many highlighters, my natural oils come through quite quickly anyway.
