Hi loves! I'm still all about contouring the face and when I saw Essence came out with one, I wanted to try and share it with you. I like their products are so affordable and also some of them are really good. I have been testing out their Shape Your Face Contouring Palette in shade 10 ready, set, peach! (14 g, 3.99 EUR).
It contains 3 different shades for shaping, highlighting and a blush. I like the compact is sleek and has a clear lid, so I'm able to see the powders.
When I swatch these they all seem nicely pigmented and really beautiful powders. I have been using the contouring powder the most and its the best out of the 3 shades.
The contouring powder and the highlighter are matte. My problem with the highlighter is that it doesn't show up at all. I feel like it doesn't do anything and the formula of it is too powdery.
The blush it has is more like a peach tone highlighter and not very good one. It doesn't show up on cheeks at all and I was hoping way more from it. I have been using it as eye shadows though (it shows up on lids only when I wet my brush) and it looks beautiful all over the lid. In the evening it wasn't so vivd on the lids, which was disappointing. Maybe it was because I was using a new eye shadow primer.
As you can see I'm not very impressed with this palette. The only useable product in the palette is the contouring powder and I also used the blush as eye shadow.
Have you tried these from Essence?
Thanks for reading! xo's

I've only tried a few products from essense. It is pity that highlighter doesn't show up, maybe you need to build it up to make it more visible.

I have been looking at Essence in Ulta but haven't pulled the trigger yet! But I love matte contour products, it may be worth it for those items!
ReplyDeleteShame about that peach shade, it looks so pretty x
ReplyDeleteThe "contour" looks a little red? Or is it just the picture? :)
