Hi loves! I picked up 2 new blushes from Essence and these are called Wake up, Spring! Blush and I have 2 shades, 01 Hello sunshine! and 02 Bye-bye winter! (6 g)
When the collection first came out I didn't pick up anything and then a week or so ago I saw these in Kruidvat and wanted to try. The packaging of these is bulky, which is something I don't like. Its because under the blush there is a mirror and written something cute. I could do without it, but it is cute. Under the shade 01 is written "Blush up & Smile" and under shade 02 is written "Smile you look Gorgeous!".
The shades in the pan look so pretty and invited me to go and try them out :) The formula of these is unfortunately powdery mess. The pigmentation of the darker shade is so bad and I feel it doesn't look even, on the swatch I needed to build it up for it to show up at all.
The lighter shade, which is more coral is bit better and I like it has shimmer in it. I use it more as a highlighter and it looks beautiful, but it also is bit powdery.
The staying power of these is not bad, but the process getting to a good and even application is just too much work. If you see these anywhere and are tempted, just stay away. There are way better blushes available from Essence.
Have you tried these? What do you think?
Thanks for reading! xo'a

They look cute!I have not bought anything from Kruidvat for ages except some cat food :))I do have blushes from essence, but they are from the permanent collection and I have to say that I am quite happy with it, but...... each shade has its own texture, pigmentation and fading process. Some are just very good, some are not so good and I had one that was really terrible.Do you remember the one with the heart inside, that one was really nice and good. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI think I missed these. Their permanent line is better, but I still have hopes for the limited edition ones and their products usually look so cute!

I always find limited edition essence products worse than their regular line..the blushes are usually really really good and not powdery at all..love the colors for spring!! have you seen the new nabla release coming tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake to take a look of their new blushes and contour shade today and I want it all :D
