Hi loves! I finally manage to test out NYX Love In Paris Palette in 03 Be Our Guest Maurice (9 x 0.8 g). I can already tell you I'm not impressed and its not going to be positive review.
I love the packaging of this little eye shadow palette. It comes in a plastic packaging, which has a clear lid, so I can see al the shadows in it. I also like the color selection of the shadows. I feel with my eye color purple shades go very well. It also contained a little applicator, which I have tossed. I like to use my own brushes instead.
My biggest problem with this palette is the quality of the shadows. I find the pigmentation is not there and the formula is too powdery for me.
I can create beautiful looks with it, but it just takes too long to build up the color and I just don't have that kind of time and patients.
Once I got these on my lids (with eye shadow primer under) these did lasted surprisingly good on me. I didn't experience any creasing (I also don't have super oily lids) and the colors stayed vivid. These also didn't irritate my eyes.
On the left side you can see the shadows from the first column (from left). As I told you before these lack pigmentation and hardly show up on the swatches. Its so disappointing as the first column has some soft and romantic shades, which would look perfect to use on spring. All shadows in the first column are shimmery.
Under the first swatch picture is a picture of swatches from the second column. The lighter shimmery shade has the best pigmentation out of the 3. I was so hoping the purple shades would be with better pigmentation, because they look absolutely gorgeous in the pan. Also all the shadows in this column are shimmery.
On the last swatch picture you can see
the third column shadows swatched. There is two nude shades and a black. All shadows here are also shimmery. I find the nude shades are with the best quality out of all the other shadows in this palette. The black is too powder for my liking.
As I said before I'm not a fan of this palette and the quality for me is just not there. I do have to say I find the packaging to be super cute, but thats it. This is all the experience with their shadows I have had and it doesn't make me really want to try more, but if you have a great recommendation, which shadows I should try from them, let me know in the

Which is your favorite NYX product?
Thanks for reading! xo's
These look like such pretty shades in the palette! I definitely see what you mean about the pigmentation, though - what a shame! :/

It's a shame not having the right pigmentation, I hate buying palettes for the colors and when I open them baboom...no color anymore :((
ReplyDeleteOh no! Some nyx products are great - shame about this one x
