Hi loves! How are you all doing? Today's post is on bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer Original (30 ml, $24). Its a primer and all skin types can use it.
It comes in 30 ml white bottle and has a pump, which I really like. Its so easy to use :) Its also available in 60 ml bottle.
What it does:
"Developed to combat flaky dryness, rough patches, fine lines, excess oil, enlarged pores, and uneven texture, this mineral-infused, satin-finish formula glides on seamlessly with no tacky feel to provide a skin-smoothing complexion before you apply foundation. For added age-defying power, it is infused with soothing plant extracts, antioxidants, and nourishing vitamins C and E."
The formula of it feels really liquidity to me, which puts me off. Maybe its because I haven't used something like this before. It does glide easily over the face and drys down to matte, smooth finish. It leaves the skin feeling velvety.
I didn't notice it hiding my pores or controlling my oiliness, which are must have things for me. I did get oily through out the day as much as I usually do.
It doesn't have any scent to it and I do like it has vitamins in it. It also didn't irritate or make my skin brake out. I only wish it would have done something to make my makeup look better.
As you can see its a negative review. I feel like it didn't do anything for me. My makeup didn't stay on longer then usually and also my skin texture didn't look any better, so for me it was a miss.
Have you tried it before? What do you think?
Thanks for reading! xo's
Oh no, shame it didn't work for you! Thanks for the honest review though x

my oh my I totally missed your change of theme!!! it looks so gorgeous, clean and elegant!! <3 <3 I love it!!!
ReplyDeletetoo bad for the primer..I have started using the nivea after shave balm (as anyone by now) and I have re-evaluated the use of primers to improve the application of foundation instead of improvement of the texture..
I don't know why but I never like Bare Mineral products. They never intrigued me to try them out x
ReplyDeleteI tried this years ago, and felt the same way. It didn't do much, and I wasn't impressed. Boo!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this primer out. Shame it didnt do the job it says!

I think negative reviews are just as important as positive ones, if not more so. Thanks for haring your thoughts, and it's a shame this didn't work for you xx
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's first mistake was that it claims to solve basically every problem, which seems unrealistic in a single product! I wonder how this would preform on my dry skin.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried this primer, but have been meaning to. I have a hard time with primers too, I'm so picky! I don't like heavy silicone ones. I've been really liking the new Dior Forever primer sample I got at Sephora a couple weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I am not endeared enough to want to give it a try x
