Hi beauties! Sometime ago I ordered online a Kevyn Aucoin The Liquid Airbrush Foundation and I got it in shade LQ05 (20 ml, 38 EUR).
The packaging of this foundation is gorgeous. I love the simple, yet stylish packaging and what I like even more is that it comes with a pump.
The shade I got is perfect match for me, which surprised me, because I ordered it online and I almost never find my match when it comes to foundations. Also the fact that there is only 4 shades available on Beautybay.com.
The foundation blends into the skin easily and its meant for normal to oily skin type. The coverage it gives is medium. I noticed when I have break outs or blemishes it doesn't cover them all up, so I need to go in with a concealer, which is fine by me.
I have also noticed when I apply it with my beauty blender I get a lighter application, but with the brush it gives more coverage.
The time I have used it, it never got cakey on me, which is a huge plus for me. It feels light wight on skin and I love the semi-satin finish it has.
It stays on me better then some of the other foundations I own. I did notice it wore off around my mouth area, but surprisingly around forehead and around my nose it stayed put. I also noticed I didn't get as oily, which really surprised me.
Here is a video, where you can see how it applied with a beauty blender. Now I'm thinking I should have done the other side of my face with brush. I'll try to do it next time :)
Overall I think its fantastic foundation. I would like to get 30 ml in the bottle, but what can you do. I'm not 100% sure if I would buy it again when its over, I guess time will tell. Its not because I don't think its good, more like I want to try other foundations :P

Have you tried anything from Kevyn Aucoin?
Thanks for reading! xo's
I am SO the same with you about never being 100% if I will purchase the same foundation again - JUST for the fact that I like to try new ones! Of course if its a smaller price and I really like it, I will definitely repurchase. But of the expensive brands, even if I like it a lot - it really has to completely blow my mind with awesomeness for me to re-purchase. :)
ReplyDeleteI''ve never tried anything by this brand but maybe when I have the means I'll try this foundation :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried anything from this brand, but I'm so tempted!
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with always wanting to try more foundations! This sounds lovely, although I agree 20ml is quite small for a bottle of foundation :/
