Hi beauties! Are you ready for the new year! I can't believe that 2014 is going to be over and 2015 is here. Where did all this time go!! Do you guys make New Year revolution? I usually put a goal how many books I wanna read in a year and that's about it.
Today we went by these gorgeous orange trees where they also sold the oranges and mandarins! The local fruit tastes so good!
That's my today's adventure, back to makeup theme ;)
Catrice is a new brand for me and I wanted to try something from them and I went with their Liquid Metal eye shadows. I picked up shades 100 What Do You Sea? and 050 We're The Inner Purple (3 g). If I remember correctly I payed bit over 3 EUR for one of them.

The packaging of these is really simple. They come in plastic compacts and have a clear lid, so you can see the shade of your shadow. I like that they have a simple shape, which makes them easy to store. Some single shadows have rounded lid and it makes storing them harder.

I have love hate relationship with these shadows. As you can see in the pan they look gorgeous, but when you swatch them they lose their sparkle. I find they look dull! What do you guys think? The pigmentation is not that bad and I can make it work for myself, but I'm not in love.
The staying on power with out the primer was surprisingly good! End of the day they didn't look perfect, but they didn't crease on me either, so I'm happy about that.
Out of the 2 shadows I like the green one the most. It looks more alive and not as dull!

Thanks for reading! xo's
I've never tried anything of this brand. I have to say I'm not a fan of metallic eyeshadows, although these two seems nice. Too bad they look dull!

I have never tried anything from this brand but I do love metallic eyeshadow. The colors you chose are really pretty (:
ReplyDeleteLovely shades, not shades I would wear thought usually only go for neutral shades.

@ Federica - I was hoping more :(
ReplyDelete@ Ebony - Thanks :)
@ Sophie - I usually go for nudes too, but made an exception that time.
I've never heard of this brand before, it's a shame that they lose their sparkle :( xxx Thou Shalt Not Covet
ReplyDeleteI hate it when shadows don't turn out how they look in the pan, I had that with the kiko shadows I bought. Shame as they do look pretty in the pan x
ReplyDeleteThey do look so pretty but from your swatches I would have never assumed they were the same product x
ReplyDeleteAwww shame they look a little dull! The shades in the pan are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteCreepers & Cupcakes
They look like beautiful shades, it's always disappointing when a product loses its sparkle as soon as it's out of the pan, though. What a shame! :(
