Hey Beauties! Today's post is not beauty related, instead its about books or more about a book. I decided to write about the book that I read this year and so far it has been my favorite read of 2014 :) and its White Fire by Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child. Its 13th book in the series. I haven't read any other books from this series, but now I want to :)
The book takes place in Colorado ski resort and Corrie Swanson goes there to look bones what are 150 years old. Some people don't want her to see the bones, so she gets in trouble with the law. That's when special agent Pendergast comes around and saves the day for now and Corrie can take look of the bones.
The bones tell one story and at the same time the ski resort is under attack by someone who burns down peoples homes and leaves the home owners in to burn alive.
In the end the 2 stories come together and a longest time I was thinking there is two separate stories. I loved how this book kept me on edge and I couldn't put it down. Its a great book, if you want some mystery and thriller in your life.
Whats your favorite book that you read this year!
Thanks for reading! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm a big reader but I'd never be able to mid way a series, I'd have to start from the beginning! I'll keep my eyes peeled for these :)
ReplyDeleteI'm usually the same way, but this book is story of its own, but the same main character. Now I wanna read the whole series from the beginning. Thanks for visiting! :)
ReplyDeleteA bit late, but happy SITS day! If you're into thriller/detective type stories, have you tried The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series?
ReplyDeleteIs it heavy on profanity? I hate purchasing books and then finding out they are filled with profanity and I've wasted my money cause I won't finish it.
ReplyDelete@ Roaen - Thank you :)
ReplyDelete@Cindy - There is some, but I wouldn't say its full of it. Thanks for stopping by!
