Review: Nabla Miami Lights Collection

Hi loves, how are you all doing? Hope everything is going well. I'm also excited to tell you that I'll be getting a dog this Saturday :) I'm so excited! But today I want to talk with you about makeup. That's why you are here, right?! I picked up few items from the Nabla Miami Lights Collection. In the past I would have picked up the complete collection, but I have grown older and wise, and I know I'm not going to use everything. I know I'm not going to use that glitter palette. I would use it maybe once in 2 years and I already have plenty of glitter, so I ended up getting only few of the  complexion products. I got 2 of the Skin Glazing Glass Skin Finish Powder in shade Independence and Lola (6.5g). I also picked up their Skin Bronzing Skinkissed Effect Bronzing Powder in shade Ambra (6.5g)

All 3 powders come in a plastic compact. The bronzer is in more of a brown one and the other 2 are in pink compacts. These have clear lids, which means I'm able to see the shades I have.

I'll start this review with Nabla Skin Bronzing Skinkissed Effect Bronzing Powder in shade Ambra. This bronze feels super smooth to the touch and I love its cruelty free and vegan. This formula can be used wet and dry, it fits all shin types and it can be build up. I like I can make it look darker on days when I go for bronze Goddess look :)

Down below you can see the bronzer and also the swatch. The shade Ambra is perfect match for my pale skin tone. There is altogether 4 shades available. I like to bronze up my complexion with it and it blends out like a dream.  It looks matte at first glance, but there is the slightest sheen to it. So it will give me natural glow, which I'm all about, specially on summer.

Let's talk about the staying on power. This stays on me all day without fading or getting patchy. It's a beautiful bronzing powder and I'm so happy to have this beautiful powder in my collection.

Next we have Skin Glazing Glass Skin Finish Powder in shade Independence and Lola. In this range of products also have highlighters, but for me these two powders are blushes and that's how I'm going to refer to these. These are glowy blushes, which I'm all about. There was a time, when I was all about that matte blush life, but not anymore. Now I want all the glow I can get. It might have been because I have oily skin (that I liked matte blushes), but I have learned to love and embrace my skin and now we are both happy :)

Both of the blushes are pigmented and blend like a dream. These are formulated with 60% light reflecting pearls and pure pigments. I'm so impressed with the formula. I can pick up a lot of product and it will blend out beautifully and I don't end up like a clown. In my book that's amazing, because I'm known to have heavy hand when it comes to blush application.

The two shades I have Independence is my favorite. I feel it is suitable for any time of the year and I love the deeper shade. Nabla describe it as rosy-hazelnut with golden and magenta reflects. It's so stunning and it will look specially beautiful on autumn.

Down below you can see the close up of the shade Lola and also the swatch. It's the perfect spring and summer blush with little bit sheen to it. It makes any makeup look brighter and fresher. It's described as watermelon with amber and peachy reflects.

Now let's talk about the staying power. These blushers stayed on all day and there was no fading. Also these didn't get patchy through out the day, which is another plus for them. I'm so impressed with these! I might need add the other shades into my collection ;)

I'm happy I grabbed these powders. I love the formula and the shades are just beautiful and perfect for me. You can find all 3 items lined down below. Highly recommend these powders, so good.

Have you tried their products already?

Review: Posh Wow Gel Waterproof Brow Styler | G2 Graphit

Hi loves, Posh Eesti was kind enough to send me to try some of their products and today I'm sharing with you my thoughts on their Wow Gel Waterproof Brow Styler in shade G2 Graphit (€16.00). I want to say huge thank you for Posh Eesti for sending me their products.

One side of the Brow Styler has the pencil, which I do need to sharpen and the other side has the spoolie to brush the brow hairs. I love it comes with it, because it's so handy, specially  when traveling.

I believe they have all together 3 shades and mine is medium, which is a good match for me. It has matte finish, 18 hour wear time and fixes the brow hairs in place. It has a waxy feeling when I apply it in the brows. After I have applied it in the brows I comb my brows through and get them in the place I want them. I have to say when I use this brow pencil I don't feel the need to apply brow gel. This is an added bonus.

This brow styler keeps my brows on place all day. I didn't have any issue with the color fading or disappearing through out the day. I have had that problem with other brow products in the past. My only wish would be, that it comes in a twist up, so I don't have to sharpen it. I don't mind sharpening lip liners, but brow pencils I want twist up pencils. I like its always sharp and I can create small strokes.

On the left you can see the swatch of the shade G2 Graphit, which looks too light. But it's not! It's the perfect match for my brows and I love it has cool tone undertones. It might look bit warm on the picture, but in real life its cool tone brown. I find some medium tone brow pencils to bee too warm, but this is not. It makes me like it even more.

As you can see from the review I do like this brow styler. It does what it says and is easy to use. It fills my brows in effortlessly and keeps them looking natural at the same time. Added bonus is that I don'y need to use brow gel :) If you are interested you can check this gem out here.

Review: Barr Cosmetics Centella Calming Gel Essence

Hi loves, hope you are all doing well and staying safe! Today's blog post is a review on Barr Cosmetics Centella Calming Gel Essence (60ml, €33.00) and I'm already on my second bottle ;)

Barr Cosmetics is a Korean beauty brand and their products are cruelty free and vegan. Also their products don't contain artificial colorants and fragrance. The brand is minimalistic and the ingredients they put into their products are EWG 0~2 (Green Grade) ingredients. It helps to minimize the stress on the skin and helps to prevent irritation.

The essence comes in a dark plastic bottle and is with pump, which I like. The design of their products is minimalistic and you can really see it. The design is clean and simple. I also like the company supports the development of eco packaging for zero waist society.

The formula of the essence is gel like and contains 85% Centella, which hydrates, helps to repair and sooth the skin. It also has antibacterial properties. I have noticed I haven't had any brake outs since I started using it and I'm on my second bottle. It's best for sensitive skin. I have oily skin type and it has worked well for me as well. I'm super happy with this essence.

This essence contains so many amazing ingredients like 0.3% Panthenol, which helps to attract moisture and locks it in. It also is provitamin B5. Adenosine has anti-aging, calming and skin repairing properties. Jojoba helps to hydrate the skin. The Houttuynia Cordata is a great antioxidant and also is soothing and has antibacterial properties. Willow Bark is a great source for Salicylic Acid and it evens out skin texture. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Ceramide NP provides hydration and Sodium Hyaluron helps to attract and retain water molecules. You can find the full ingredient list down below.

I use it every morning and evening. I apply it on cleansed skin after toner. I love the gel like texture, which is so light and instantly sinks into the skin. It doesn't feel sticky on the skin and provides hydration to the skin. I usually use 3 pumps of products and one bottle lasts me little bit more, then 2 months. In the beginning I was afraid it lasts me less, but I'm happy how long it lasts.

IngredientsCentella Asiatica Leaf Water (856,00ppm), Butylene Glycol, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, Centella Asiatica Extract (3,000ppm), Hydroxyethyl Urea, Adenosine, Polyglutamic Acid, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Ceramide NP, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin, Salix Alba (Wllow) Bark Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyi Glutamate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Carbomer, Sodium Carbomer, C12-14 Pareth-12

I love this essence! It's the item in my skincare routine that provides me with so much hydration. My skin doesn't feel dry through out the day and I have noticed I don't get as oily since I started using this essence. I'm really impressed with the results I get from it and with the brand. I have had few samples of their toner and the cream. I'm tempted I have to say.

Review: Pat McGrath Setting Powder & Under Eye Powder

Hi loves, hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Today I'm so excited to share with you my thoughts on Pat McGrath Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Setting Powder in shade Light 1 (5g, €‌60.00) and her Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Under Eye Powder in shade Light (4g, €‌33.00). The setting powder is available in 5 different shades and the under eye setting powder comes in 3 shades. I love her range has a shade for everyone from lightest to the deepest skin tone. So everyone is able to find their perfect shade that matches the foundation they use from her.

Lets start with her Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Setting Powder and it's loose powder, which is my favorite to set my complexion. It comes in see through jar and has a black cap on it with the brands logo on it. Inside the powder has a net over it, so all the powder wouldn't come out. I like it and it's specially good to have when traveling, so not everything comes out.

The powder feels silky smooth to the touch and feels like nothing on the skin. The Flex Form Matrix powder blend helps to blur fine lines and imperfections. This powder is formulated without parabens and fragrance.

I have been using it for months now to set my foundation and it works like magic with here foundation. When I use her primer, foundation and powder to getter I have noticed the foundation doesn't make me as glowy and last better on me. It gives me soft silky smooth finish, which I love. I also like I don't need to use too much products. I noticed I needed to do touch ups less with this powder (I have oily skin), then with my Hourglass loose powder. I'm happy I tried it and I do like it, but I wouldn't repurchase it, because of the price point.

Next we have her Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Under Eye Powder and it's my first time to have separate powder for my under eye area. I feel so fancy lol.... This is available in 3 shades and comes in a cute black compact and has the brand's logon on the top. Inside there is the smallest mirror every and the powder. I don't get the point of the mirror, because its so small, that it's useless.

This powder is super fine and instantly sets everything and makes the skin feel silky smooth. I love using it and it's my favorite powder out of the two. My concealer doesn't crease with this powder and I don't have to reset it through out the day. I also like it feels like nothing. I'm so impressed by it! It also helps to blur the look of fine lines and wrinkles. They claims that it brightens dark circles, but I'm not sure about it. I think concealer cover these up the best ;) And then set it with this powder. That's what I do and I love the results I get.

Overall I like both powders. Like I mentioned in above the under eye setting powder is definetly my favorite out of the two and I see myself repurchasing it in the future.

Have you tried any of her powders before?

Review: Clef Skincare Anti-Aging Mask

Hi loves, hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Today's review is on Clef Skincare Anti-Aging Mask ($39.99) and they where so kind to send it to me as a gift. Thank you so much!

Their Anti-Aging Mask comes in a beautiful matte packaging and has gold flakes on it. One box contains 5 sheet masks and they are all individually packaged. One mask contains 30ml of serum, which I think is really cool.

The mask doesn't contain any hormone, alcohol, fragrance and essential oils. It's also cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, paraben free, phthalates free and cruelty free. I love it and I could feel how gentle it was for the skin.

What makes this mask interesting is the 9 in 1 function, which I really like. It claims to moisturize, brighten, repairs the skin, is firming, reduces the look of wrinkles, fades scars, reduces pigmentation, minimizes pores and increases elasticity. I feel it does all these things and definetly transformed my skin. Only thing I can't comment about is the scars as I don't have any. It did make my skin look so much brighter, hydrated and I saw visible difference in the wrinkles and the texture of my skin. I have deep wrinkle between my brows and this made it almost go away. You can see the results in the demo video down below.

Let's talk about the key ingredient in this mask, which is the copper peptide. This ingredient is driven from human protein and it helps to reduce the look of wrinkles and scars. The molecules of the copper peptide they use in their mask are very small, which means it easily penetrate into the skin. It helps stimulate collagen, regenerate elastin and helps to restore skin hydration levels.

This mask fits my face like second layer of skin. It contains a lot of serum (30 ml) and I feel it really helps the skin look more radiant. I applied it on cleansed skin after toner and essence. I only used these masks and nothing else to really see how it makes my skin look and feel. I kept it on 20 minutes and and after that I removed it and gentle massaged rest of the serum into the skin.

I took the left over serum which was left in the packaged and pour it into empty bottle, so I used it as my serum on days I didn't do the mask.

I have to tell you guys this mask works like magic and you can see the results for yourself down below. My skin hasn't looked so radiant for some time. I'm so impressed.

Down below you can see the demo and I get the camera really close to my face, so you can see all my imperfections and late the results of the mask. I'm so impressed with this sheet mask.

If you love the look of the results and want to check this baby out for yourself, you can find the mask here.

Review: Brown Melanin Makeup Melanin Fantasy Eyeshadow Palette

Hi loves, we haven't seen each other the longest time and I'm sorry about that. I hope you are all doing well and I'm so happy to share a new brand with you. I have been testing out over a week Brown Melanin Makeup (BMM) Melanin Fantasy Eyeshadow Palette (£21.00). They are UK based brand and its black owned beauty brand. Their products are also cruelty free.

The palette comes in a sleek packaging, which I love, because it's great to have in my makeup kit and also perfect for traveling. The palette closes magnetically and inside there is a big mirror and 10 beautiful eyeshadows: 7 matte, 2 shimmers and 1 metallic.

The eyeshadows are so pigmented and silky smooth to the touch. I love there is a shade for any look I want to create, if its day time look for office or evening glam look for girls night out. This palette has me covered. I didn't experience any fall out with these shades and these blended out easily. These also work well together with other eyeshadows. Down below you can see swatches.

  • Sweet Brown - is a matte dark rich brown. It's the perfect shade to add drama into my looks. I also have been using it as a liner.
  • February - is a beautiful champagne shimmer, which is perfect to highlight the inner corner of the eye.
  • Boss Babe - is a bronze shimmer. Love to use it all over the lid.
  • OYA - is a matte yellow. I love to use it as transition shade when I do warm tone crease.
  • Tari - is a bright matte pink. It also would look beautiful blush shade on deeper skin tone.
  • Bijoux - is a matte cream shade. It's the perfect shade to use as a brow bone highlighter.
  • Magic - is a metallic golden green. It's my favorite shade out of this palette. Many of you might know I adore green eyeshadow and this shade is so easy to use and looks fantastic all over the lid.
  • Strong - is a matte orange. Love to use it when I go for warm crease and pair it with OYA.
  • Goddess - is a matte mid tone brown.
  • Ohema - is matte warm tone lighter brown.

Let's talk about the staying power. You might know I use eyeshadow primer under all my looks and I did the same with these eyeshadows. I didn't experience any creasing or fading through out the day. These eye shadows stay true to color all day. My eyeshadow looks stayed on place and looked fantastic all day. Couldn't be more happy with the staying power and the quality of the eyeshadows.

I'm so happy I picked this palette up. I have looked that palette for months and finally got it. It's one of the best purchase of 2020 ;)

If you are looking for a new palette and want to support black owned beauty brand, you can find it here. It's worth every cent and I'm so happy to have it in my collection.

Review: Juvia's Plce The Nubian Palette

Hi loves, hope you are all doing well and staying safe. I discovered in my makeup drawers this beautiful Juvia's Place Nubian Palette and I haven't reviewed it on the blog. I know it's an older palette, but it's a classic and needs to be talked about more. I think it's good to show love to some older makeup products and maybe some of you have it in your collection and it reminds you to take it out and show it some love ;)

The palette comes in a beautiful green packaging with gorgeous art work on it. Some reason on the pictures it looks more teal, then green. I guess it's the lighting. Anyway it closes magnetically and hosts 12 eyeshadows: 4 mattes and 8 shimmer/metallic shadows. These are so pigmented, buttery to the touch and are easy to work with. I have used these shadows with other powder shadows and on their own. I never had any issues. I did get some fall out, so I recommend doing your eyes first then your base.

Down below you can see all the shades swatched from top row to bottom row. I think the pictures show you how pigmented these really are.

Let's talk about the staying power. I always where eyeshadow primer under all my looks and these last with a primer all day. There is no creasing or fading. I'm so impressed with the quality of their shadows and this palette is perfect for everyday. I do need to grab a matte light bone color shade to highlight the brow bone. To be honest I don't mind it too much, because I have at least 20 in my collection.

I think it's fantastic palette and I can't wait to grab some other palettes from them and also foundation. Has anyone tried their foundation and what to you guys think? Let me know in the comments section.

If you are interested in this palette it's at the moment discounted and is only $14.00. You can gab yours here.

Down below you can see the demo part of this review. I did an eye look with this palette and I'm happy how it came out :)
