Review: NYX Born to Glow! Highlighting Platte

Hi loves, I'm so happy to share something beautiful with you guys today. I do hope you don't mind we stay here all about makeup. I really haven't talked about the corona virus that's going around and have changed so many lives. I leave it to people who are professional. I do hope you and your families are all safe.

The beautiful thing I wanna share is the NYX Born to Glow! Highlighting Platte (6x4.8g, €26.88). They keep surprising me in a good way with their products. If you are not familiar with the brand, they are cruelty free drugstore brand.

The palette comes in sleek packaging and has a clear lid, so I can see all the beautiful shades I have. The sleek palette hosts 6 gorgeous highlighting shades for fair skin tone to deeper skin tone. I love they didn't leave anyone out and this also comes handy in my kit. I like to have everything in one place, which makes it easy to find.

The highlighting powders are pigmented and silky smooth to the touch. I have mostly used the top shade on the right. It's perfect for my skin tone and gives me beautiful glow, that lasts all day. I love how easily these powders blends out and becomes one with the skin. And it's packed with shimmery pearls, which catch, reflect and refract light. They also recommend layering different shades to get more dimensional look. I usually just pop it on top of a cream highlighter. I feel it makes my highlighter even more intense.

Up you can see the swatches! On the left are the 3 lighter shades I feel like I can pull off and on the right are the deeper shades. I find all 6 shades beautiful and I have been using these on the eyes as well. That way I can get use out of all the shades. And these work well on both ways. I haven't had any issues with this palette. I have only love for it ;)

Which shade is your favorite?

Review: Pixi Beauty + From Head to Toe Glow-y Powders

Hi loves, how are you all doing? I finally ventured outside and just got back from my walk. I missed going out so much and have been indoors over a week. That's why I'm late with today's blog post. I hope you are all staying safe and today I have for you review on some gorgeous powders, which are collab between Pixi Beauty and From Head to Toe. They came out with 2 shades of Glow-y Powders called Wednesdays and Fetch (9.07g, £14.00). I want to say huge thank you to Pixi Beauty for sending me these, because they are gorgeous.

The highlighting powders come in a round mint green compact and the cap twists off and is clear, which means I can see the shade I have. On the lid there is the logo of the brand and of course the logo of Jen (the name of her YouTube: From Head to Toe). I was so happy to see her having her own collab with Pixi and these 2 products really represent her esthetics.

Down below you can see close ups of both shades. One is more peachy and the other is cool tone pink. Both are absolutely stunning and feels so buttery and silky smooth. These are between a blush and a highlighter at least for me. For someone with a deeper skin tone these would make a beautiful highlighter. I have been using these as blush toppers and I really like how they look. I also have been using these on the eyes as well, to add a nice pop to an eye look.

Both shades are pigmented and I use a light hand when applying these. Down below you can see the swatches and the reason why I use light hand when wearing these. These can be used wet (for more intense look) or dry (what I go for usually) and give me a glow that lasts all day. These powders reflect light like no other and give beautiful glow to the complexion. I haven't had any issues with these fading or getting patchy. As always Pixi made some amazing powders in collaboration with Jen (From Head to Toe).

I'm so happy Pixi sent these to me. I can see myself using these a lot upcoming summer. These are perfect way to give some color and glow to my complexion. If you like their powders as much as I do, you can find these here.

Which is your favorite shade?

Getting Glowy and Blushing with Pastel

Hi loves, I'm happy to share with you guys liquid highlighter and blusher from Pastel. They are Turkish makeup brand and I picked these up when I was there on vacation end of December. It feels like forever ago considering whats going on around the world.

So I got the Show Your Glow Liquid Highlighter in shade 71 (there is all together 2 shades available) and Show Your Joy Liquid Blush in shade 53 (available in 4 shades).

These come in a clear tubes, which I like, because I see the shade I have. The packaging is sleek, which I like. These are great for travel. Both come with a doe foot applicator, which is in classical shape. There is no noticeable scent to them and I have been using these mostly together. I can already tell that I like the blush way more, then the highlighter and wish I had picked up all the 4 shades.

Let's start first with the Show Your Glow Liquid Highlighter in shade 71 and you can see it swatched on the left. The swatch of it looks beautiful! It's classical champagne highlighter and for summer it would be perfect. The reason why I don't like it is, that it blends out to nothing or almost nothing. I like a blinding highlighter, let's be honest here. The more sheen I get the better. So I find this particular product unfortunately completely useless.

Now the Show Your Joy Liquid Blush in shade 53 is stunning! It is darker peachy shade. It's the perfect shade for the spring and summer. I use it all year around, because the formula of it is so nice. It feels light as water and blends into the skin easily, leaving behind beautiful blushing color and also bit of glow. I like to set it with powder just to make sure it doesn't move around.

The staying powder is also important. I don't know what the highlighter does, because I never see it to begin with, but the blush stays on place all day. It doesn't move around or get patchy through out the day. I'm obsessed with the blush!

The brand was sold in most Turkish drugstores. I'm not sure, if it's available outside Turkey though. I would grab the blusher, if you see it, because its amazing and the brand is cruelty free.

Have you tried any of the Pastel products before?

Review: Younique BB Flawless Complexion Enhancer | Cream

Hi loves, how are you all doing? I have been bit sick, so I have missed lot of posts. I still am, but I just missed blogging so much, so I pulled my energy together to bring you this review :)

Today's post is on Younique BB Flawless Complexion Enhancer in shade Cream (50ml, 42.00) and altogether there is 6 shades available (mine is the lightest).

The BB cream comes in a squeeze tube packaging and color of the packaging changes depending what shade you have. I have the lightest shade and it becomes one with my skin.

This is light weight tinted BB cream, which evens out my skin tone and hides my pores. It gives me light coverage and has a dewy finish. It makes my skin look so much better, but it still looks like skin. I love it on days when I'm on the go and don't want too much makeup.

The swatch on my hand does look too light, but you can see how it applies on demo video, which is down below.

I usually pair it with a primer and concealer, if I need bit more coverage in some parts and then I like to set it with a powder. I do get oily through out the day, but this happens with all the foundations in my collection. I have oily T-zone and I'm okay with it. It's easy fix. It stays well on me and I don't lose the coverage through out the day.

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Isononyl Isononanoate, Isohexadecane, Dimethicone, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Boron Nitride, Sodium Chloride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter Extract, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin, Phenoxyethanol, Decylene Glycol, Lecithin, 1,2-Hexanediol. MAY CONTAIN: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499).

Down below you can see the demo video I mentioned before. You can really see how it looks on the skin and it does more, then you think BB cream does. It restored my love with BB creams.

I'm so happy I picked it up. The formula of it is like a light gel that works like magic on skin. I'm so obsessed and most times I go for this product. Super excited about it! You can check it out for yourself here.

Do you like BB creams?

Review: Certifeye The Affinity 2 Palette

Hi loves, some time ago I picked up Certifeye The Affinity 2 Palette (18x1.4g, £32.00) and I have been playing around with this palette for months. If you are new to the brand, they are indie brand based in the UK and their products are cruelty free.

The palette comes in a sleek cardboard packaging and closes magnetically. There is no mirror inside, but there are 18 gorgeous eyeshadows from mattes to duo chromes. I love the writing on the palette (its also inside) "Dream Without Fear, Love Without Limits"

This palette contains mostly blue and green eyeshadows, which was the reason I picked it up. I love how different the palette is and the eyeshadows have worked out for me well. I do have to say the swatches don't do justice to the shadows. They don't look as even when swatched. I personally didn't have any issues blending these out and the shadows did build up well. Only thing I don't like about this palette is the fact, that first ingredient is talc. Other, then that I have no issues with the palette.

  • Nawab - is a matte baby blue.
  • Hussain - is a matte blue.
  • Aftab - is a metallic blue.
  • Munir - is a matte dark blue.
  • Naveed - is a duo chrome darker gray with blue sheen to it. It's a beautiful topper shade.
  • Fareed - is a matte blue purple.
  • Ijaz - is a matte deep blue. It didn't swatch well, but I used it yesterday and it blended out evenly. You can see the look here. I used it on the lid.
  • Seemab - is a matte green.
  • Aqib - is a  darker blue with hint of purple to it.

  • Nadim - is a darker teal green with matte finish.
  • Alber - is a matte moss green.
  • Shiraz - is a matte poison green.
  • Shamail - is a matte neon green.
  • Fraz - is a matte light teal with hint of green to it.
  • Bilal - is a metallic light green. I'm obsessed with this color.
  • Shazad - is a matte dark forest green.
  • Shuhaib - is a glittery orange brown dup chrome with green shift to it.
  • Shafay - is shimmery duo chrome, which has white base and blue lilac sheen to it.

Let's talk about staying power! I can happily report back these shadows last me all day with out creasing or fading. I do use eyeshadow primer under every look. Also these eyeshadows didn't irritate my eyes and I do have sensitive eyes.

Down below you find the demo part of this review. I think it's good to see the product in action and I'll be using this palette to create amazing green eye look. Hope you enjoy it :)

I'm really impressed by this palette and I'm happy I have another one to play with. Can't wait to show you guys ;) This palette is sold out at the moment, but I'm sure they will bring it back. Meanwhile you can check out their other palettes (link).

Where have I been | Part 1

Hi loves, you might have noticed I have been away for 2 weeks. I went to vacation and today's post I have about my trip and where I was. On the 15th I went on the plain to go seem my friend in San Fransisco :) She lives near it. The first thing I did spend the day in the city and see around.

I started early on Monday morning and first place I went was the Blue Bottle in the Ferry Building. They make the best coffee and the staff is so nice too. I took my coffee and spend it by the water and enjoyed the view of the sun (picture on the left). The weather was worming up and I had time till the museums where opening up. So I walked from the Ferry Building towards the Pier 39 where they had the Tulip Mania. Not sure, if it's still there.

When I was wondering around the city and was on my way to Modern Art Museum, I noticed there is Starbucks literally on every corner. And they where not even the only coffee places. People there take their coffee seriously.

Like I mentioned before I went to the Modern Art Museum, which I wasn't sure I would enjoy in the beginning, but there where some amazing pieces. I'll share few of my favorites down below. Don't ask me about the artists though, because I was too buys enjoying the art. Does it happen to you? You are too taken by the art itself then to look who created the beautiful piece.

You might ask what else I did there. Well I had the hardest time finding an eating place, like a proper restaurant to have lunch that didn't look like a fast food place. I walked like all over the city and of course I did not check Google to find a restaurant. I ended up in this old looking restaurant and I thought the food must be good. Let me tell you it was not. Next time I'll do my research and I don't end up eating bad food. Through out my stay I did end up having some delicious meals and treats like donuts from Krispy Kreme, so delicious.

I also tried out a cronut, which I wasn't that impressed to be honest. At least now I know what it is, but I do prefer regular donuts more :)

This is it for the part 1. I should leave something to the part 2 as well :) It's my first time doing more of a travel post, so I hope you enjoy it and I'll see you tomorrow.

Where was your last vacation?

Review: MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension Skinfinish | Double Gleam

Hi loves, happy Thursday! I'm happy to share with you this gorgeous gem from MAC Cosmetics. This is Extra Dimension Skinfinish in shade Double Gleam (8g) and is from the Lunar Illusions collection. I love the pink compact and the colorful design on the lid. Inside there is a gorgeous highlighter with a beautiful imprint. MAC cosmetics limited edition collections always have the best packaging and this one does not disappoint. I'm so happy I manage to snag this baby up.

This collection showcases their best seller and cult favorites in new special packaging for the honer of new moon. I don't own many of their highlighters, so this was exactly what I wanted and I love the look of it inside out. Can we take a moment to appreciate the dragon embossed design, how cool. To be completely honest it's too beautiful to use. I know it's silly, but that's how I feel at the moment. I pick up the product on the sides, so I don't damage the dragon too much.

On the left you can see it swatched and also how it looks when I blend it out.

MAC Cosmetics describes it as liquid powder multi reflective highlighter and gives luminous well defined finish. The shade is a pale gold and has a cool tone to it. It's a perfect shade for my complexion. Now I see why this is a cult favorite. It's so pretty and I can't believe I'm trying it out just now.

This is long lasting formula and they claim it lasts 10 hours. I do agree with it. At the end of the day my highlighter is still in place and I look radiant. I have been using it together with  Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand Easy Highlighter in shade Spotlight (review). They make such a gorgeous combination and I just love it.

This highlighter is also non acnegenic, dermatologist tested, Ophthalmologist tested and fits all skin types.

I'm so happy to have it in my collection. It preforms so well for me and on top of that it looks absolutely gorgeous as well. If you are in the market for new highlighter this is a good option. I would recommend visiting MAC Cosmetics store to swatch it and see if it's for you.

Will you pick up anything from the new collection?

Review: Younique You•ology Uplift Beauty Oil

Hi loves, you might have noticed I'm huge skincare fan and take good care of my face. I have combination skin type (oily t-zone) and I love anything hydrating, because I'm in my 30s.

I'm happy to share with you my thoughts on the Younique You•ology Uplift Beauty Oil (30ml, 81.00). It comes in a clear frosted glass bottle and it has a dropper. It's easy to use and I love the purple cap and the brands logo on it.

It's described as silky smooth and quickly absorbent beauty oil, which is formulated with squalane, CoQ10, vitamin C and sweet iris leaf cell extract.  97% squalane, which mimics skin's natural moisturizer and allows it to absorb without feeling creasy. I agree it doesn't leave the skin feeling creasy and sinks into it fast. I like to use it as a last step in my skincare routine and also as my primer before doing makeup. It leaves my skin silky smooth.

I use 3 drops of the beauty oil in the morning and evening. It's the last step of my skincare routine. I love how it makes my skin look and feel. It instantly gives my skin hydration and makes it so soft.

I like how full coverage foundation looks on top of this oil. It makes my skin look radiant and dewy without me looking oil. I find dewy foundations can make me look oily, but this way I get the good parts from both worlds.

Ingredients: Squalane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Iris Pallida Leaf Cell Extract, Ubiquinone.

I'm so happy I have this in my routine and I know it's pricy item, but skincare is something I don't mind spending my money on. If you are interest in this gem you can buy yours for here*.

Do you like face oils?
