Review: Oriflame Giordani Gold Age Defying Serum Booster Foundation | Vanilla Cool

Hi loves, hope everyone is doing good and staying safe. Today's post is a review on Oriflame Giordani Gold Age Defying Serum Booster Foundation and I have it in shade Vanilla Cool (30ml, € 30.00). It comes in 6 shades, which is not ideal.  The shade I have is bit too dark for me, but I can make it work for me.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle and has pump, which I really like. It makes it using it, easier and I find it, it's also cleaner. Squeeze tubes can get messy real fast. It gives me light to medium coverage, depending how I apply it. I have noticed with a sponge I get lighter coverage and with brush it's medium coverage. I usually prefer medium coverage, because my skin has been really good lately and I don't need as much coverage.

This foundation is more to the glowy side, which I love colder months. I want to get all the radiants I can get ;) The formula of the foundation contains Giordani Gold's Prebiotic Serum, which helps to strengthens the skin barrier by optimizing cell quality and strengthening its structure. It's also infused with Natural Lotus Flower Extract, which helps to create a silky smooth texture and promote nourishment and skin's well-being. I love it also has skincare benefits. Maybe it's my age that make me care more about it, but it's nice to know it does something for my skin.

On the left you can see the swatch of the foundation. The formula of it is more thicker side, but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It does have a scent to it, which doesn't bother me too much and it hasn't broken me out or caused any irritation.

My favorite way to apply it is to buff it in with a brush and I love it doesn't feel sticky on the skin. I don't feel the need to set it with powder, but I still do, because I have oily T-zone.

I claims to last on skin up to 8 hours and I find it is true. At the evenings I noticed it has broke down a bit on the T-Zone, but rest of my fave looks flawless, so it's perfect for people who has dry skin. I definetly need to powder through out the day.

IngredientsAQUA, Cyclopentasiloxane, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, diisopropyl adipate, lauryl PEG-10-tris (trimethylsiloxy) silylethyl DIMETHICONE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, titanium dioxide, CAPRYLIC / Capric Triglyceride, DISTEARDIMONIUM Hectorite, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, imidazolidinyl urea, phenoxyethanol, SILICA, caprylyl glycol, POLYHYDROXYSTEARIC ACID, ALUMINA, DISODIUM EDTA, TRIETHOXYCAPRYLYLSILANE, STEARIC ACID, PERFUME, PHENETHYL ALCOHOL, SACCHARIDE ISOMERATE, GLYCERIN, BHT, NELUMBIUM SPECIOSUM FLOWER EXTRACT, 77 CIASS 91, CIASS91, CIASSBIUM EXTRACT, 7778 CIASS91, CIASSBIUM EXTRACT, 77 CIASS 91, CIASSBIUM EXTRACT, 77 77499

I'm so happy I ended up getting this foundation. It makes my skin look flawless and I love it gives me skincare benefits. You can check out this foundation here.

Review: Colourpop Mandalorian The Child Pressed Powder Palette

Hi loves, hope you are doing well and staying safe this holiday season. I'm going to be staying home and seeing no one unfortunately. I'm scared to travel and I don't want to bring my mom the covid. This year I see everyone through zoom.

Today's review is the cutest palette ever! It's the Colourpop Mandalorian The Child Pressed Powder Palette ($16) and I adore this 9 pan palette. It comes in a cardboard packaging with baby Yoda on it and inside there is mirror and 9 eyeshadows: mattes, metallics and super shock formula. It's limited edition palette!

I'm so in love with this color story. I love I can go all out green and there is also nude shade for something different. The metallics are so pigmented and beautiful and I love they added super shock shadow in it. It's so pretty! And the mattes are also pigmented and easy to work with. I did experience little bit fall out with the mattes. It's not problem for me, because I do my eyes first and it's easy to clean up.

  • Precious Cargo - is a super shock shadow. It looks white in the pan, but has beautiful golden sheen to it.
  • Right Hand Mando - is a metallic icy moss with silver glitter. It looks so beautiful all over the lid.
  • Just Like a Tatooine - is a soft warm matte brown. I love to use it in the crease.
  • Sipping Soup - is a metallic mossy green.
  • Baby Face - is a matte dusty mint. I love using it in the crease when I go for all green eye look.

  • The Force - is a metallic antique gold with golden glitter. It's so pretty and reflective.
  • Little Frog - is a matte olive green with silver glitter in it. I personally don't like this type of shades. I don't get why you put glitter in a matte eyeshadow.
  • Float Your Crib - is a matte blackened olive green. Love doing with this shade all matte smoky eye.
  • Droid Protocol - is a matte warm tone deep brown. Love using it to darken up more nude eye look.

why I like this palette so much?

  • The color story
  • the quality
  • price point
  • the packaging

I'm so happy I picked it up. It's beautiful inside out and I'm always on the market for more green eyeshadows ;) This palette at the moment is sold out, but I do hope it will come back. You can keep an eye on it here.

What is your favorite Colourpop palette?

Review: Pat McGrath MTHRSHP MEGA: CELESTIAL DIVINITY EYE SHADOW PALETTE

Hi loves, hope you are doing good and staying safe! Today I'm so happy to share with you my thoughts on Pat McGrath Mothership Mega: Celestial Divinity Eye Shadow Palette (€‌81.00, 19.8g). This palette took forever to get to me. Everything coming overseas will take a long time to ship out. Fun covid times I guess.

As always Pat McGrath went all out with the packaging. It comes in golden pink cardboard packaging and closes magnetically. I have to say I love the packaging, because it's so sleek and lighter. The 10 pan palettes are so heavy and I can't see myself taking them for travel.

The palette contains a mirror and 18 eyeshadows: 2 mattes and 16 shimmer/metallic duo chromes. I usually mind when the palette comes with 2 mattes only, but not with this one. The other metallic shades are so unique and colorful. I have created so many beautiful eye looks and I can't get enough of this palette.

Her eyeshadows are so pigmented and easy to work with. These are pleasure to use. I haven't had any issues bending these out, but I did get fall out with some of the duo chromes. I don't mind it too much, because I do my eyes first anyway and it's easy to clean the under eye area. These shadows stayed on the lid all day without creasing.

  • Saturnalia - is a chromatic crimson with pink flash. It looks so beautiful all over the lid. I created really cool graphic eye look with this shadow.
  • Bronze Nebula - is a metallic golden bronze.
  • Major Mahogany - is a matte warm mahogany.
  • Lunar Violet - is a beautiful warm champagne shimmer. Perfect inner corner highlighting shade.
  • Violet Void -  is a deepened violet pink flash. It's perfect to do a smoky eye.
  • Gold Standard - is a metallic luminous 24K gold shade.
  • Venomous Void - is a matte mid tone magenta.
  • Odyssey - is a metallic lilic taupe with pink sparkle.
  • Fuchsia Shock - is a shimmery fuchsia purple. Looks so beautiful all over the lid.
  • Megabyte - is a shimmery deepened khaki green. I love it so much. One of my favorites from the palette.

  • Bronze - is a metallic bronze shade.
  • Electron - is a duochrome rose bronze with a glittering blue flash. It's so unique shade. I don't think I own a shade like this.
  • Cosmik - is a duochrome diamond sparkle pink shade. It's another unique shade in this palette.
  • Smoked Amethyst - is a blackened aubergine with pink sparkle. Love using it for smoky eye, so pretty.
  • Dragonfly - is a duochrome warm gold metallic with blue green flash.
  • Venusian Orchid - is a matte mid tone pink. It's so beautiful matte and blends like a dream.
  • Galactic Gold - is a duochrome platinum with golden chartreuse flash. It's so brilliant shade.
  • Corruption - is a duochrome fiery bronze.

I'm so happy I ended up getting this palette. It's so beautiful in side out and I can't get enough of her eye shadows :) I'm so impressed with the brand and the high quality Pat McGrath always brings. If you are in love with these shades as much as I am, you can check her palette out here.

Review: Oriflame Giordani Gold Iconic Metallic Matte Lipstick | Ruby Red

Hi loves, hope you are doing well and keeping safe. Today's review is on Oriflame Giordani Gold Iconic Metallic Matte Lipstick and I have shade Ruby Red (4g, €19.00). And it's available in 5 limited edition shades.

The lipstick comes in a beautiful golden packaging and is heavy. It looks and feels luxurious. It will look so beautiful on my vanity.

The lipstick formula is with argan oil to nourish lips and replenish moisture. I love these lipsticks have SPF12 to give lips protection day time. I don't think I own any other lipsticks with SPF in them to provide protection.

The shade I picked is perfect for the festive season. Ruby Red is beautiful lighter red metallic lipstick with matte finish. It is richly pigmented and glide on lips easily. For a matte lipstick it is creamy and feels comfortable on lips. It's the kind of lipstick I like this time of the year. I do want to mention it has a slight scent to it. I'm not a fan of it, but it doesn't bother me once it's on my lips.

Let's talk about the staying power! I can tell you it's not going to stay as long as liquid lipstick, but it also doesn't dry out my lips. So I'm okay that I need to reapply it through out the day. I don't have to do it too often, it really depends how much I have food or drinks. I think the staying power is good considering it's a lipstick and has comfortable formula.

I'm so happy with this lip color. It looks beautiful on lips and doesn't make my lips dry out and look not cute. It happens with other metallic lipsticks specially with metallic liquid lipsticks. This one doesn't do it and if you are interested in it, you can find it here.

Which is your favorite festive lipstick?

Review: Revolution Reloaded Iconic Division Palette

Hi loves, hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Today's blog post is on Revolution Reloaded Iconic Division Palette (15x1.1g, 5.99€). I picked up my palette from Kruidvat.

The palette comes in a plastic packaging and has a clear lid, so I can see all the shades, which I do like. The palette itself is sleek, which makes it good for traveling. It contains 12 matte eyeshadows and 3 shimmery/metallic eyeshadows.

The overall quality of the palette is good, considering its only 6 euros. The pigmentation of the the mattes is good, but some of the shimmers are lacking. The formula of the mattes is powdery and when blending these shades I do need to be carful not to blend the shadows away. I also have a bone to pick with the green shades. I love green eyeshadow, but these look so similar when swatched (you can see it for yourself down below). That was little disappointing.

Up you can see the swatches of row 1 (on the left) and row 3 (on the right). The first row has some transition shades and 2 shimmers. The first one is so disappointing, but the bronze is very pigmented and also looks on eyes like that.

The second row is bit better, except for the pale shimmery golden green, which was one of the reasons I bought this palette. It's the most disappointing shades in this palette. It a toppers shade and I hoped for something metallic and amazing. Usually their metallics have good quality.

On the left you can see the 3rd row swatched, which is my favorite. It's the perfect autumn color story and I enjoy matte eyeshadows so much. I love the yellows and the green (even though it's so similar to the one on the first row). The only shade here that is lacking in my oppinion is the black (first shade on the right). Others look beautiful and I have enjoyed playing with.

Overall I like this palette. I like the color story and I love wearing it this time of the year. It's not a perfect palette, but the price point was so little, that I can't really complain about it. I find it hard to deepen the look, because the shadows blend into nothingness so easily.

Down below you find the demo part of this review and I did palette bingo, which I haven't done the longest time. I really liked how it came out. I hope you enjoy the video and go subscribe to my channel :)

Review: Pixi Beauty Large Lash Mascara

Hi loves, hope you are doing well and staying safe. Today I'm happy to share with you my thoughts on Pixi Beauty Large Lash Mascara ($16.00, 12ml) in shade Bold Black and I got it in the PR. Thank you Pixi for this beautiful gift! Before continuing with the review I want to say all my thoughts on this mascara are 100% my own. I always keep my reviews honest, even when the product is sent to me.

This mascara comes in mint green packaging, which is so Pixi Beauty. I can recognize their product everywhere. The mascara has a large brush, which I personally like a lot. The Large Lash Mascara comes in 2 shades Bold Black (which I have) and Best Brown. The formula of it is water resistant, smudge proof and is fragrance and paraben free, which I like. Some of the ingredients in the formula are Vitamin E, which nourishes the lashes, panthenol, which strengthens the lashes and bamboo extract, which  fortifies and helps to retain moisture.

Let's talk about my experience with this mascara. I have been using it over 2 months. Now I know it really works for me and how my eyes react to the formula. This mascara gives me long lashes and tons of volume. It didn't clump my lashes together and there was no flaking through out the day. It kept my lashes looking perfect all day! It's also easy to remove it end of the day. I use a cleansing balm to remove it and it comes off effortlessly.

I haven't experienced any irritation or allergic reactions. I have very sensitive eyes and some mascaras I can't use at all. I get itchy eyes right away. It wasn't the case with this mascara, which I'm really happy about, because I love the brand and this mascara makes my lashes look fantastic.

I'm so happy about the Large Lash Mascara and you can see the demo part of the video here. You see me do one eye and then the other eye. The results are amazing in my oppinion! Hope you enjoy the video :)

As you can take from this video I'm very happy with this mascara and think it's worth the purchase. If you are interested you can find it here.

Review: Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence

Hi loves, hope you are doing well and staying safe. Today I'm happy to share with you my thoughts on Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence (30ml, €33.29). Before going into the review I want to mention I have combo skin type (Oily T-Zone and rest of the face is normal).

The essence comes in a frosted glass bottle and it has very minimalistic label with the brand's and the product's name on it. It feels like it's medication for the skin. It comes with a dropper, which makes application easy. I use 3 drops: one of the forehead and one for each cheek.

What makes this essence special? For me it was first the feel of the product. It's not oily at all and sinks into the skin fast and instantly boosts the skin with hydration. It helps to strengthen and energize the skin. It's formulated with antioxidant rich ingredients like prickly pear cactus oil, quinoa and acai berry. It contains 61% of prickly pear seed oil, which has high concentration of vitamin E. The formula is also with out parabens, mineral oils and is free of artificial colorants.

On the left you can see how it looks. It's not runny like an oil would be. Once I start massaging it into the skin, it just disappears into it. My skin just sucks it all up. Even though I don't have dry skin, my skin loves it. It doesn't feel too heavy and I need bit of hydration boost this time of the year.

I do want to mention it has a scent to it, which is very light. I only noticed it when I smelled it from the bottle. It doesn't bother me and it hasn't irritated or broke me out. Down below you can find the full ingredient list.

IngredientsOpuntia Ficus-indica Stem Extract, Butylene Glycol Glycerin-methyl Gluceth-20 Aqua, Alcohol Denat, Dimethicone 1,2-hexanediol, Hydroxyethylacrylate / sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Betaine, Alcohol, Phenoxye-Thanol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Perfume, Polysor-Bate 60, Sorbitan Isostearate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edta, Polyquaternium-51, Sodium Methyl Stearoyl Taurate, Opuntia Ficus- Indica Seed Oil, Dextrin, Theobroma Cacao Extract, Ilex Paraguariensis Leaf Extract, Chenopodium Quin Ooa Seed, Extract Euterpe Extract, Fruit Euterpe Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Benzyl Salicylate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Citro-Nellol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Eugenol, Amyl Cinnamal

I'm really happy with this product and love what it does for my skin. It just provides the best hydration ever. It's not overwhelming to my skin and doesn't make it oilier. I'm so happy I decided to give t a try and now I just want to try more from the brand. It's a great product for oily skin on autumn and winter.

If you are interested in this product, you can find it here.

Have you tried the brand?

Review: Pat McGrath Mothership VI Midnight Sun Eye Shadow Palette

Hi loves, long time no see, but I'm back. I needed to take some time off just for myself. I'm not sure if I keep the blogging schedule as it was or change it. All I know I missed my blog and connecting with  you all about beauty. I also took a brake not buying makeup and really enjoying what I already have. If you are interested what I have been doing, I can do a more personal blog post about it. Let me know in the comments if it's something you are interested.

Today's blog post is on Pat McGrath Mothership VI Midnight Sun Eye Shadow Palette (10x1.32g, €‌130). It's my first bigger palette from her and I got it as a birthday gift from hubby. My birthday was in May, so I have tested it throughly ;)

The  artwork on the outer packaging is gorgeous. I usually don't keep the outer packaging, but I'll keep my palette inside of it. It's so well done and I love how it opens up.

The palette itself is heavy, so I wouldn't travel with it, but it is gorgeous. It's black and has in gold the brand logo on it. Inside there is a big mirror and 10 eyeshadows in it from mattes to shimmers to specially shades. I find this palette is perfect for me this time of the year.

These shadows are so pigmented and rich of color (you can see the swatches down below). I haven't had any issues blending these out. They are easy to work with and stay true to color, what you see is what you get. I did experience fall out and for me it's not an issue, because I always do my eye looks before. I like a bold statement eye and it's easier to do it first and then do my base. I also love to layer different shades on top of each other to get more dimension to my looks. It also compliments my hazel eyes perfectly :)

  • Skinshow Moon Glow - is shimmery platinum peach. It's perfect to use as a highlighting shade. I love to pop it in the inner corner of the eye.
  • Bronze Eclips  - is a shimmery bronze taupe. It's the perfect everyday shade.
  • Vermillion Venom - is a matte crimson. I love to use this type of shades in autumn.
  • Blood Moon 005 - is a metallic copper rose. It's one of my favorites from the palette. It's so beautiful and alive color.
  • Jubilee - is a glittering gold. Looks beautiful paired with Blood `moon 005.

  • Xtreme Dusk - is a matte charcoal brown. It's a perfect shade to darken up any eye look.
  • Taboo - is a matte brown ochre.
  • Wicked Envy - is a shimmery moss green. It's the perfect autumn green eyeshadow to wear. I need to use this shade more.
  • Blitz Violet Orchid - is a sparkling periwinkle violet. It's one of the more unique shades from this palette.
  • Astral Solstice - is a glittering platinum. I love adding it into my looks, because it makes it pop.

This is the Mothership VI Midnight Sun Eye Shadow Palette and it's beautiful. The only negative thing for me about this palette is that I don't have a transition shade. It's  not the biggest problem for me, because I have other palette I can get that shade. It just I have to always use another palette with it. Like I said not a big deal.

I'm over the moon about this palette. It's so beautiful and has some unique shades in it. I would love to own more of her palettes, but they are so expencieve. If you are interested in this palette, you can find it here.

Which is your favorite palette from Pat McGrath?
